Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म kárma , kárman- "act, action, performance"[1]; Pali: kamma) is the concept of "action" or "deed" in Indian religions understood as that which causes the entire cycle of cause and effect (i.e., the cycle called saṃsāra) originating in ancient India and treated in Hindu, Jain, Sikh and Buddhist philosophies.[2].
In these systems, the effects of all deeds are viewed as actively shaping past, present, and future experiences. The results or 'fruits' of actions are called karma-phala.[3]

Eclipse,食

solar and lunar eclipse:日食/月食,這裡的食字或作蝕[1]

The term is derived from the ancient Greek noun ἔκλειψις (ékleipsis), from verb ἐκλείπω (ekleípō), "to leave behind," a combination of prefix ἐκ- (ek-), from preposition ἐκ, ἐξ (ek, ex), "out," and of verb λείπω (leípō), "to leave"[2, 3].

對於古代描述的日/月食的現象,古人是如何理解的?

From the beginning - little about this blog

i think i have to work out the words i encountered. this is the very reason i got to create this blog.
at first, i would like to do this in the google sites, but when i find my etymology site focuses on the botanical terms, then i would like to use the blog webpage function to deal with the messes.

i cannot collect words to compile a dictionary, just to collect things maybe useful for me or some others.
